K9 Training Is Very Important For ALL Dogs
Properly training a dog helps eliminate behavioural problems, helps keep good manners and etiquette. Obedience training is the foundation of it all.
Obedience Training Is Critical For Raising A Dog
Unlike what some might think, even a “good” dog needs training – it’s like saying “children don’t need to go to school because they are well behaved”.
A Trained Dog Is Always Well Behaved
A well trained dog is a pleasure to own because they can go virtually anywhere without being a risk or nuisance to others. Don’t we all want a good mannered dog when we have guests in our home, reliable around children, and who won’t react to other dogs or pedestrians?
K9 Training Builds Character
Dog training not only teaches good manners, boundaries, and structure but also builds confidence that creates a more relaxed state of mind in uncomfortable and/or unfamiliar situations.
K9 Training – For Puppies
When you first bring your new puppy home, you will already be engaged with dog training around the clock, whether you realize it or not. Puppies learn from the moment they are born, and while they have short attention spans, they can begin to follow simple commands like “stay” and “sit” as early as 7 weeks.
We strongly encourage puppy parents to consider the downsides of delaying training. Remember, your puppy has been learning since birth.
By neglecting proper training during the juvenile age, your dog will have formed behavior patterns and made fear associations well before 6 months of age. This likely means you’ll be working through plenty of behavior modification and have to retrain anything that you initially taught incorrectly.
Enrolling your puppy at SEIRIOS K9 training academy will allow your puppy to practice positive behaviours and socialize with dogs and people. Typically, puppies between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 months register for our program.
K9 Training – For Adult Dogs
Training adult dogs is often more difficult and time-consuming. Unlike puppies, adult dogs most likely have established bad behaviors, and these behaviors are harder to unlearn than to learn. Additionally, if you adopted the dog at an older age, you are unaware of its previous training or traumatic experiences that could contribute to its negative behaviours.
Like any type of training that you do, you hope to see results. At SEIRIOS K9, your dog will receive exceptional, results-oriented training. We have developed a unique signature program that contrasts traditional dog-training techniques. We are able to teach in way that suits each individual dog and is rooted in altering their behaviour and obedience.
We can successfully potty train, obedience train, and socialize your adult dog. Regarding socialization, every dog is different, and their aptitude for socialization depends on their past experiences, personality, and many other factors. If your adult dog exhibits anxiety or aggression during attempts to socialize, contacting SEIRIOS K9 is a wise decision.

Most dogs (depending on severity of behaviour) will be spending their nights with one of our trainers.
Our program covers obedience training, human and dog socialization, crate training, confidence buildup, behavioral modification, proper etiquette in the house and more. Most importantly our program also includes private 1-on-1 training sessions to understand the mechanics of working with your dog and group sessions to perfect your skills with your dog.
After an evaluation session we will create a customized program with your goals and the dog’s needs in mind. All dogs go back home with a written report and suggestions to move forward with more success.
When working with certain behavioral issues results may vary due to several factors: age, gender, breed, character & temperament to mention a few.
